To understand our dying as part of our living I turn my eyes inward to what is under the skin, the internal structures of the body and female systems. Rituals created for the dead by the living are celebrated in Deathrite and Rebirthrite. Kill Yourself / Kiss Yourself looks at violence as part of life and often death, through painting on shooting targets and monotypes on death certificates, both used as targets at the range. In Fellow Travelers the juxtaposition of clay figures and animals to death certificates records the journey we all take, in one way or another. With the painted body parts on my clothing, End of the Line Design merges the inner and outer, our life and our inevitable death.
